In anticipation of the grand opening of Southeast Asia’s newest arrival, Avalon, the iconic Hollywood nightclub has launched a series of music events beginning with GO!
Set against the backdrop of the high-octane Grand Prix Season Singapore 2010, GO! will debut at Marina Bay Sands with a two day music festival from September 23-24. The Avalon team spent three months handpicking the perfect blend of the world’s most sought after up and coming live acts and balanced it with some of electronic music’s elites. The GO! line up features Empire of the Sun, Flo Rida, Santigold, Chemical Brothers (dj set), Above & Beyond, Major Lazer, Make the Girl Dance, Swedish House Mafia’s Steve Angello and Steve Aoki. Empire of the Sun is coming off its breakthrough performance at this year’s Lollapalooza and will be unlike any live act that Singapore has even seen with a cosmic orgy of costumes, lights and music. Combining world famous DJs and acclaimed music performances, against the backdrop of artwork created by cutting-edge visual artists, this one-of-a-kind experience will provide the opportunity for thousands of music aficionados to preview the future of Singapore nightlife.
Helmed by nightlife impresario Steve Adelman, Avalon is set to open in the Crystal Pavilion at Marina Bay Sands in early 2011. With an eye for redefining nightlife worldwide, Avalon will bring a unique experience to the region. Combining panoramic views of the Marina Bay, with a legendary sound system, Avalon will feature performances from many of the world’s leading DJs and live acts.
