Dear Music (and Fashion) Geeks,
As I write this, members of GEEKSBIBLE± are preparing to celebrate our first ever birthday party. As I put on my headphones and turn up the music to drown out the sounds of my friends doing the check-sound, shouting “Check.. Check.. Mic..” And sometimes even singing a part of The Whitest Boy Alive single from last night’s concert.”
Last year, on the event of our launching party, I had some pretty harsh things to say about the website. Nobody really knows and really care about GEEKSBIBLE± (well, even today, we will never stop promoting and do the best to let them know). The saddest part, nobody really knows what the heck is audio-podcast! I had to explain it hundred of times until they understand.
I don’t take any of that back. I believed it a year ago and I believe it now; not all of music websites suck. In fact now, GEEKSBIBLE± has grown a lot. We never imagined this website would go this far. We never expected thousand of people will hear our voice on the podcast. We never dreamed about hundreds of emails coming to our mailbox. We never thought about these. These are the dreams come true.
We will never go this high without you, because you are the only reason we’re here. We care about something fresh in the scene, and all we want is to be able to share it with you. Without GEEKS, we’re falling apart, we’re loosing grip, and we’re having a reason to stop typing. That’s why, stay with us. As a payback, we’ll always be updating our website with only selected articles. Let us know if we’re going wrong or out of track! So please.. Direct any complaints and (hopefully) compliments to my GEEKSBIBLE±. You are the reason why we keep writing!
Kautsar Ikrami,
Editor in Chief.
